How terrifying is it that one of the biggest news stories today is that a 13 year old boy has fathered a child. I don't mean to sound like a grandmother but come on!!!! What has this world come to? I wasn't an angel when I was 13 but I would never have dreamed of having sex never mind having a baby. Also despite being young and not interested in sex I still knew that protection exsisted and what its purpose was. There is absolutely no excuse for this. Another worrying thing in this terrible story is that when the little boy was aked " how will you support the baby financially?" he replied " whats financially?" how can someone who dosen't even know what financially means look after a baby? Things are getting scary young children are increasingly becoming caught up in an adult world. There are 10 year olds taking and selling herion, 12 year olds standing on street corners drinking and now the children are having children. I can't help but wonder where is it all going to end? Somethings got to give. We can't go on in a world like this. Where children are trying to lead adult lives when they are clearly not capable of it. What ever happened to just being a kid when all you had to cry about was a skint knee not the fact you owe a drug dealer money or the best thing about a friday was your mum gave you money for a bag of chips not for a bottle of vodka. Instead of trying to teach children how to grow up maybe we should just teach them how to be children again.
